Title: Team Member

Supervisor:  Owners or Team Lead

Pay: Based on Experience 

 

Expectations:

• Represent Prime Home Options through “The Prime Way”

• Schedule: 8 hours, 5 days a week, or 10 hours, 4 days a week

 

Responsibilities & Common Duties:

• Assist Team Leader in the completion of a variety of residential remodeling projects from start to finish

• Assist with ensuring projects are completed within budget, on-time, and following company quality and safety standards

• Troubleshoot and solve project challenges and collaborate with Team Leader

• Protect surfaces and client belongings prior to commencement of work

• Ensure project site remains as clean and organized as possible, and at the end of every day, is cleaned up and all tools and equipment are secure

• Follow all code requirements for projects

• Skill-specific duties may include:

• Measure and cut lumber to desired specifications

• Install cabinets, vanities, and trim

• Build and install shelving, built-ins, and other custom carpentry projects

• Prep surfaces for painting including drywall repairs and caulking

• Paint a variety of interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, decks, porches, and siding

• Layout, measure, cut, and install tile on flooring and walls

• Grout tile on flooring and walls

• Frame interior walls

• Measure, cut, install, and finish drywall on walls and ceilings

• Patch and repair drywall holes, tape seams, and imperfections

• Layout, measure, and frame decks, railings, and exterior stairs

• Install flooring including hardwood, laminate, and LVT

• Install or replace windows and doors

• All other duties assigned based on the needs of the project.

 

Position Requirements:

• Always have a professional appearance, attitude and be able to demonstrate professional verbal and written communications (“The Prime Way”)

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction and/or remodeling

• Experience in 3 or more of the following skill areas: Carpentry, Painting, Drywall, Tile, Flooring, Cabinetry, Door & Window Installation, Minor Plumbing & Electrical, and/or Handyman & General Home Repairs

• Ability to take instruction Your own tools (flexible)

• Knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw, and jigsaws

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Must be on time for work

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (upon request)

• Ability to climb 25’ ladders and lift and carry a minimum of 50+ pounds

• Ability to speak English fluently and clearly

• Be able to interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Work well under pressure against demanding deadlines

• Organized and able to meet deadlines

• Great attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship

• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills

• Ability to support multiple projects/tasks and balance conflicting project needs

• Ability to work proactively and independently with minimum supervision

• Resourceful, proactive, assertive, detail oriented, energetic with a flexible attitude

 

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or bend. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.

• Climb ladders, use of heavy equipment

 

Work Environment:

• The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to excessively loud. 

• Work will be performed in many different areas including inside homes, inside buildings, outside and at different heights.

• May encounter work conditions involving 90+ degrees, below 32 degrees or in inclement weather.

Performance:

• Adherence to these performances standards is expected by Prime Home Options, LLC/Prime Home Renovations, LLC and measurement of the adherence is part of the annual review and development plan process.
